Black Ops for PC a big disapoitment

Before the Black Ops release we could only hope for a better game than Modern Warfare 2. With the poor P2P hosting system and no PROMOD in MW2 most of us only expected a step forward once Black Ops is out. Hovewer the game has some big issues that make the game less attractive and hardly enjoyable. It is clear that Treyarch have concentrated hugely to offer something new rather than fixing MW2 to make a great COD game just like COD4. With Call of Duty 4 been out for some time now COD players are looking for something new. MW2 failed to deliver for the reasons mentioned above.Black Ops does bring that "something new" for example the Theatre mod and the Stats are great features and probably the only features I like in BO. On the other hand the game takes massive steps back in terms of graphics, sounds and maps. Those main factors named above can make or break the game and in case of BO it is a massive blow for many Call of Duty fans after trying the game for the first tens of hours. Sounds especially the sounds of weapons are terrible and toy like they surely don't sound like killing tools. Graphics are not that rich either, contrast and detail lacking to be fair the whole game just sounds and looks cartoonish. Another thing that failed are the maps in Black Ops. They are far from competetive in fact you could find one or two well balanced and competetive maps in that game. Most of the maps are too limited for pathways or basically not balanced. It couldn't have been a worse start for the PC version of Black Ops as the game was unplayable during the first month after the release. Few major patches from Treyarch have sorted those issues but the game is still far from running smoothly without any problems. There are dedicated servers and mod tools are about to come out in few months time which is definitely something to cheer about now we can only hope that PROMOD and few more patches will improve the game and pray that there will be plenty new maps added to the game that are competetive. If that doesn't help then we will have another year of waiting for a truly great Call of Duty game.
